Teyá (in Catalan and officially Teià) is a municipality in the Maresme region, province of Barcelona, located on the slopes of the Marina mountain range bordering Masnou, Alella and Premia de Dalt.

Historically it has been a traditional summer resort and, in recent decades, it has grown considerably as it has absorbed population from Barcelona.

In its agricultural area, rain-fed crops (cereals and vines) dominate over irrigated crops (potatoes, vegetables, flowers).

After the phylloxera plagues, the original vineyards disappeared and were replaced by American vines. By the end of the 20th century there were few cultivated fields left.

The archaeological remains found at the Vallmora site seem to confirm that, in Roman times, Teyá was one of the main centres of wine production in the area around Roman Barcino.
